Welcoming Bishop Gregory Kimura
A joyous day for St. Francis as we welcome our Bishop and newly Baptized and Confirmed into our congregation.
The Right Reverend Gregory W. Kimura, 6th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin, on his first official pastoral visit to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Turlock on Sunday, September 13, 2026. As you can see above He had his work cut out for him. He baptised six persons, confirmed six persons and received one person.
As Bishop Kimura has shared upon his election, "God has planted something very special in the rich and fertile soil of the Diocese of San Joaquin. God has great plans ahead for us—growing, blooming, flowering."
We are thrilled to gather as a community in Christ’s love, open our doors wide to all, and share in worship, fellowship, and holy communion together as we embark on this exciting new chapter in the life of our diocese. Come and see. Love and welcome are the invitation. Our door is open.

We are located on the corner of East Main Street, Canal Street, and Pioneer Avenue in downtown Turlock. Our address is 915 E Main Street, Turlock CA 95380.
If you approach St. Francis heading northeast on Main, you will pass the church, the church office, and the rectory on your left. Immediately past the rectory is the sign for the parking lot.
