Welcome to St. Francis Episcopal Church. We offer a Christian community grounded in compassion and inclusive acceptance and are committed to helping everyone grow in their spiritual journey. We have a hunger for justice and peace in the world expressed through and deeply rooted in the Anglican tradition of worship, scripture, and prayer.
Our Episcopal
Identity
The Episcopal Church is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, a family of independent churches in communion with the Church of England. We are a church that finds its center in our traditions of worship. We are liturgical, that is, we use fixed texts from our liturgical book: the Book of Common Prayer. We are Sacramental, that is, our worship centers on the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, visible signs of God’s grace to us. We are biblical, that is, our worship also centers on the reading of Holy Scripture (as many as four readings) and its exposition in the sermon.
